MEMO: REPORTING SCORES FOR SPRING 2015 SOCCER GAMES
TO: SPRING 2015 SOCCER COACHES AND AGCs
FROM: ROB HARRINGTON, DYSA STATISTICIAN
DATE: APRIL 6, 2015
I'm Rob Harrington (father of Bradley, U10). I'll be taking on 'score reporting' duties for Coastal Spring season at least. Most of you know the drill I'm sure, but below I'll repeat what I understand to be the standard instructions, just to be sure:
No later than the day after your game completes, please report the following information to your Age Group Coordinator (AGC), who in turn will report the scores to me:
Team age, gender and #, (eg: GU12-3)
Game Date (if a make up also give original game date)
Opposing town and team # (eg: Kingston-2)
Score: Please list Duxbury score first (eg. Lost 1-2)
Location: Home or Away
PLEASE NOTE: I am responsible for reporting results to the Coastal Youth Soccer League (CYSL) Statistician during the week following the game. DYSA will be subject to a $50 fine for game results not received within 10 days of the scheduled game date. Cancellations must be reported within the same 10 day period, whether or not the game has been rescheduled.
Please report your score to your AGC no later than the day after the game is played. After that I'll assume there was a mixup or you forgot and I'll start the process of reaching out. Probably simplest for everyone if you just make a habit of reporting in immediately after your game :). Also note: If your game is rescheduled or cancelled please report that also. That goes for this first 2 weeks in which I understand that some blocks of games were canceled. Some were not (I think), so to keep it all straight I'll be relying on you guys to report even those from these first few difficult weeks on a per-game basis.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP.
Score Reporting Best Practice -- Before leaving the field at the end of each game, email your score to your AGC. Do it as you review the referee's score report on the opponent roster you receive at the end of the game.
